Craig is a lifelong resident of Botkins. He is the youngest of six children of Ruth Brown, and the late Donald Brown. He is a 1990 graduate of Botkins High School. Craig also graduated from Wright State University with B.S. in Mechanical engineering in 1996. He married his wife Sara in 2001 and they have four children, Donovan, Carson, Ella and Aspen. Craig is co-owner of Brown Industrial, Inc. also located in Botkins. Craig and his family are members of the Immaculate Conception Catholic church. Craig was elected to council in 2006, and is now serving his fourth term. Craig is also a member of the Botkins Pool Committee. He enjoys spending time with his family, boating, cars, and skiing.
Raised in Botkins by his mother, Kay and father, the late Randy Greve along with two siblings. Nick graduated from Botkins High School in 1997. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Bowling Green State University in 2001, where he met his wife Megan Greve. Together they have three children; Noah, Amelia and Wyatt. Nick is currently employed as Emerson Electric Corporation in Sidney, Ohio. His political career began in 2006 when he was voted to council to fill a pre-term vacancy and is now serving his fourth term. Nick is also an active member of Immaculate Conception Church in Botkins.
Raised in Cleveland, Christian graduated Buckeye Senior High School in 2014. He received his BSBA, specializing in Finance and Accounting from Bowling Green State University in 2018. BGSU is where he met his wife Rachel. After a few stops in Pennsylvania and Southern Ohio, they made their way back to Botkins. Having family near by, and the overly welcoming community has us here to stay. Being apart of town council is an honor, and I look forward to serving.
In his free time Christian enjoys watching Reds baseball and playing golf.
Lucas was born and raised in Botkins. He is the owner of Greve Electric and Plumbing.
Lucas served on the Botkins Fire Dept for 17 years, and is also a member of the Botkins Community Club. He and his wife Carly have 3 children. Lucas enjoys waterskiing, yardwork, and spending time with the kids at the lake.
Jacob is a lifelong resident of Botkins, where he was raised by his mother Barb and late father, Jeff Roberts. He graduated from Botkins High School in 2016 and continued his education at Bowling Green State University where he received his Masters of Architecture, BS in Construction management and Masters of Business Administration. He is currently employed at Garmann Miller in Minster as an Architectural Designer. Jacob enjoys skiing, wakeboarding, snowmobiling and taking his dog, Maverick on walks around town with his wife, Ashley. After being a part of such an amazing community all of his life, he looks forward to giving back in any way he can by serving this great town.
Village Council Schedules
The Village Council meets on the second and las Wednesdays of each month. Meetings are held at the Village Administrative Building located at 210 S. Mill St. at 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
The Village of Botkins has six council members, who serve for four years per term, with one being named, through election, President of Council. The village council is vested with the legislative authority of the village pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 731.09.
The legislative authority shall have the management and control of the finances and property of the municipality, unless provided otherwise. The village has contracting approval authority for matters greater than $25,000.00. All other contracting authority is conducted through the village administrator.
The legislative authority, under its investigative capacity, also has the power to compel witnesses and the production of relevant material at any meeting of the village council pursuant to and under Ohio Revised Code 705.21.
There is no statutory authorization for general supervisory powers over village departments or personnel. The village council acts only through its official meetings, and no powers are enumerated to individual village council members.
